Welcome to Dash. We operate a platform that provides delivery order management, real-time order tracking, and taxi/ride-hailing services ("Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the Dash mobile application and related services.

By using Dash, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account Information: Name, phone number, email address, and profile photo when you register.
• Location Data: Real-time GPS location to match you with nearby drivers, track order delivery, and provide accurate estimated arrival times. Location is collected while the app is in use and, for drivers, in the background when on duty.
• Order & Trip Data: Pickup and drop-off addresses, order contents, timestamps, trip routes, and delivery status.
• Payment Information: Transaction amounts, payment method type, and wallet balance. Full card details are processed by our payment provider and are not stored on our servers.
• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and push notification tokens.
• Usage Data: App interactions, feature usage, crash reports, and diagnostic logs.
• Communications: In-app messages or support requests you send to us.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Match customers with available drivers and process delivery or taxi requests.
• Provide real-time tracking of orders and driver locations.
• Process payments and maintain transaction history.
• Send order status notifications, driver arrival alerts, and promotional messages (you may opt out).
• Improve platform performance, safety, and user experience.
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. Location Data

Location is central to our Services. For customers, location is used during active sessions to suggest pickup points and track your order or ride. For drivers, location is continuously tracked while on duty to dispatch orders, update customers in real time, and calculate route-based earnings.

You may disable location permissions via your device settings, but doing so will prevent core functionality from working.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

• Other Users: Your name and real-time location are shared with the matched driver or customer during an active trip or delivery.
• Service Providers: Third-party vendors for payment processing, push notifications (Firebase), maps (Google Maps), and analytics — under strict confidentiality agreements.
• Legal Authorities: When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, user data may be transferred with appropriate notice.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Services. Order and trip history is retained for up to 3 years for financial and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure token-based authentication (Laravel Sanctum), and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

Dash is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Request deletion of your personal data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
• Withdraw consent for optional data uses (e.g., marketing).

10. Third-Party Services

Dash integrates with third-party services including:

• Google Maps Platform – for routing, geocoding, and map display. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
